Information Hut

Dear Family Tree Parents/Guardians,

My name is Miss Beth Beardsley and I hope to have the pleasure of working with your child in First Grade for the 2010-2011 school year. I am very excited to be starting my first year of teaching at The Learning Tree Center and cannot wait to get to know each of you and your children.

I felt it was important to introduce and provide some information about myself. I have grown up in Palm Desert since I was ten years old. I graduated from Palm Desert High School in 2004. From there, I attended San Francisco State University for two years where I eventually transferred to California State University, Chico. In May of 2009, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Child Development. As of May 2010, I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (SB 2024) from Chico State’s credential program.

I completed my student teaching in a first and third grade classroom. Due to my experience, I have become skilled at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans which incorporate a multi-modal approach to learning that keeps students interested and focused. With this, every child is included into each lesson by tailoring to their specific needs and interests- allowing everyone to excel.

I have the passion to provide all students with the ability to achieve personal excellence and academic success. I am determined to guide students in becoming successful problem solvers, critical thinkers, plus well-rounded, independent individuals- all exuding confidence and pride. Herewith, your child will receive long-term, positive benefits from their time with me by continuing to grow and develop.

Lastly, I want to share with all of you that it is my belief to build positive relationships with parents and family members. I have an open door policy in my classroom where you are always welcome to come observe, volunteer, or just sit and have a conversation with me before or after school. I always have your child’s best interest at heart.

I hope this provides you with some insight to me as a teacher as well as my background. If you would like any further information prior to a packet I will be providing closer to the start of school, please feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail. I am currently still living in Chico but will be moving down in July and would love to personally meet you at that time.

I look forward to speaking with all of you and having the pleasure of working with your child in the upcoming school year!

Love and Smiles,

Beth Beardsley
